This is a project in collaboration with the alternative energy lab at NTU in Singapore. The goal is to create a socially interactive product to bring life to empty spaces on campus.
Light Tiles are a modular system of individual tiles with a photovoltaic cell, battery, microprocessor, presser sensor, EL wire and audio transmitter and receiver. The interaction occurs when one tile is stepped on activating the light system that spreads across the plaza in various patterns. This attracts people to formerly empty spaces and encourages community.

The form of the tile is intended to easily replace existing tiles and protect the electrical components from the environment.
